Shabbat and Weekly Meetings

Our regular meeting times are:

Friday: 7:00 PM—Kabbalat Shabbat

Kabbalat Shabbat expresses the way we welcome the coming of the Shabbat/Sabbath. Our meeting together includes singing traditional and modern songs, reading Psalms, sharing Kiddish and study in Scripture.

Saturday: 4:00 PM—Shabbat Torah Service

The Aaronic Blessing on Kabbalat ShabbatOur Torah Service follows the framework of the Jewish tradition which uplifts the foundation of faith laid out in the writings of Moses and the prophets who followed him. Our service includes singing songs of worship and praise, reading Psalms and studying the Torah portion and/or Haftarah portion for the week.

Torah service is always followed by Oneg/Potluck (usually around 6:00 PM). All our food recognizes the Bible guidelines for clean foods, though we cannot claim we keep kosher. Usually food labeled vegan has been prepared in a home observing lacto-ovo vegetarian practices.

Wednesday:Music during the Shabbat Torah Service7:00 PM—Prophet’s Class
