😀 Labor Day 2015: Beit Shalom Balevav Member Appreciation Picnic at Lewisville Park in Battle Ground, Washington. Sasha pulls his son, Jacob, in a red wagon. The children enjoy swimming in the Lewis River. Rachel and Rachel are best friends. Gordon gets a chance to relax and reflect on the year. The dogs, Tumbles and Bella, do their best to pose but end up looking away. Great food, conversation, and fellowship.
Approaching Rosh Hashanah (the new year) and the High Holy Days, we are all given time to reflect back on the year. A personal assessment of your relationship with the LORD Yeshua is appropriate at this time. How have you spent your money, time, and talents? Has the work of your hands and the words of your mouth glorified your Creator and Savior? Have you been building your heavenly treasure, or just only your worldly treasure for yourself? Yeshua put nothing in His worldly treasure box, except to leave his earthly sepulcher EMPTY! He literally left NOTHING, so to say nothing here is of value to Him. Our true treasure is Yeshua and His heavenly kingdom. Hereafter, live not for yourself, but for Him that died for you and rose again (2 Corinthians 5:15).
Yeshua said, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” -Matthew 6:21
