3rd Annual Blood Pressure and Wellness Clinic

📚 January 15, 2017. “Lunch with a Doctor” – 3rd Annual Blood Pressure and Wellness Clinic. Beit Shalom Balevav had a good attendance for this event at Chuck’s Produce in Salmon Creek. Dr. Randy Zarraga, a renowned electrophysiologist at the V.A. Hospital in Portland, gave an excellent presentation on how to improve cardiovascular (CV) health, reduce your risks for CV disease, and live healthier. Our guests seemed to really appreciate the free information, the health screening, and the opportunity to ask Dr. Zarraga questions privately. Many people also enjoyed the healthy and delicious lunch provided by Sally Harlauer.

🇨🇳 Some special guests in attendance were three 7th-graders from Guangzhou, China who learned about the negative effects of cigarette smoking. In their country, about 350 million people smoke! China is the world’s largest consumer and producer of tobacco. May these three young men take this empowering knowledge back home to help curtail the smoking crisis in the Far East.
